I don't think I have ever seen an action high-profile anime which follows an impressionable young girl's pov with so much emphasis on male hotness before. I really like this series, which is no wonder, considering the amount of attention given to a really good batch of bishies. Mugaro is a smol bean I hope he doesn't make rash choices during the time Azazel is gone. I did not expect to see her at all in this season tbh. Seeing Jeanne was a bit of a shock for me. From many of the battle scenes we have seen so far he reminds me a bit of Gilgamesh from his charecter design and personality. While we don't know much of his power yet I happen to agree. One thing a friend of mine pointed out was how Charioce seemed to be the type of charecter to lust for power. While Charioce knows that he was lying perhaps that was Kaisar's intentions? To use his lack of lying skills to his advantage. I have my suspicions about Kaisar being smarter than he looks. But overall I think Azazel has had a lot of good charecter development from season 1. Perhaps he is not used to affection at all or the understanding of it. But when Nina wanted to hug him he was hesitating. Which is why he did not have much of a reaction. I do not think he associates sex with affection. About what people are saying with Azazel's bluntness regarding offering to have sex with Nina. Which seems to be the case as we go further into the series. I felt in the beginning that Azazel and Nina had some chemistry going on by their interactions. It's a long series but well worth the time and attention.I have to admit that was one of my favorite episodes so far.

Character animation is, in a word, superb. It takes a while to catch on to the nuances if you have not watched Season 1 of this series. It's world-building on a grand scale, but we never lose sight of individual characters. Battles are fought with amazing weapons and technologies. Individual characters move and talk realistically.

Some of this is just plain silly (a talking duck?) but the artwork, animation, and production values at times are stunning. Around her revolves an amazingly detailed, complex, and fantastic sequence of events. We follow her through the 24 episodes as she learns how to control her emotions and her transformation skills. Into this environment emerges young Nina, a child of the remote "dragonfolk." Feisty, super-strong, impetuous - and downright cute - she struggles to control her tendency to transform into a firebreathing dragon at inopportune moments. Violence and war now encroach on the uneasy peace. An evil thought to have been permanently imprisoned now threatens the world's stability.

In a world where gods, demons, and humans live uncomfortably close together, a decade-old peace is threatened by political and personal animosities.
